The Photographer

Simon James Acacia Avenue Photographer
Simon James is a leading photographer and writer whose work appears regularly in journals and exhibitions in the UK and overseas.
His photographs are held in the permanent collections of the National Portrait Gallery and the Imperial War Museum.
Simon is passionate about capturing the details of modern life.
His book, Mind The Gap, published by Harper Collins in 2001 chronicled his epic search for the strange and wonderful places alleged to exist at the ends of the London Underground lines.
In 2006 Simon visited Acacia Avenues across the country on behalf of AA Insurance in a project to celebrate all things 'Acacia Avenue', photographing the streets and the residents to build up a picture of those who live there.
"There's nothing better than photographing real people in their home environment to really get to the core of who they are. The residents of Acacia Avenue have a great story to tell, and I hope I've done them justice in this collection."
Simon James lives in North London.

"I fully agree with everyone else's coments, very uplifting, should be on the news to balance all the negative things we hear and see.
Well done."
